A Good Content Marketing Strategy | Success Spelled Out

A good content marketing strategy really does spell out success for those who do it. It does not take long to learn, it takes even less time to apply.

content marketing

Content marketing is how you will win the online marketing game, period. No cheap cheesy tricks, just simple and honest effort in creating the one thing people are looking for, information.

They say we live in the “information” age, so what do you think it will take to market effectively here? Yep, you got it, information through a solid content marketing strategy. Here we will go over just that, strategy.

Writing Success For Yourself With Content

Through content, you can truly write yourself into success. Content marketing and creation are not catch phrases anymore, they are facts.

Reading an article in CopyBlogger recently, my beliefs were backed up that 2013 and beyond will be all about content marketing.

While sitting around listening to a webinar from some “guru” recently ( why? Because it was for giggles ) proved that some will still look for shortcuts. Sad.

You will have to write, make videos and engage with that content starting now if you want to succeed online. It is a fact that 81% of purchasers online were referred to it by a blog post or video.

Even local business owners looking to build an online presence will have to engage in content as well. People today are more informed buyers, so you better be ready to inform.

Cheap Tricks And Gurus Have No Answer For You…

You don’t have to spin, hire a Fiver or someone from the Philippines to get the work done. You don’t have to buy some “wicked cool” software or program from Frank Kern or Mike Filsaime either. You just need an hour or two a week to build, brand and manage your business efforts online.

500 words or more. Some contextual links that stay “within” your site. 1 link that takes people to something or somewhere that counts. Engage with your content outside of the content.

These are pretty simple strategies and, they are the facts. SEO is optimizing for people, not search engines. Once I figured out that I truly was a horrible writer, I just started writing like I talk, rankings went way up…so did traffic.

Sticking to the fundamentals here, many of the truly successful businesses and people online have continued that success throughout the years.

Not once did they have to restart a website because of Google “slaps” or any other punishment that happens to those that are practicing bad things. We just created content, that was all.

A good content marketing strategy is just that, creating relevant content for people first, search engines second. Remember that and you will be successful online.
